Rebecca Morch loves the countryside, moors and beaches. She started off as a therapist befor becoming a full time artist. This piece is called 'Walk with me' using oil paint. It was definitely my favourite piece out all everything I saw on the trip. The range of different colours and textures in the painting just pulled me in and I was looking at it for ages finding new tones/shades of colours every time I looked. Many of Rebecca Morch's paintings has this same technique used on them. Even simple pieces like a painting of daisies had this same rough technique used on it. However not all her paintings are clear what they are of, the explosion of colour just makes this piece interesting, and it means you can make it whatever you want it to be. This is one of those paintings that everybody who looks at it gets a different vibe off of it and see something different to the person before them. I found this piece to be very energetic and happy. You can definitely tell this piece has been produced using oil paints when you get close to it because she has used layering to build up the different colours and worked back into some areas afterwards to give them even more colour and texture.
